Our 2019 vintage demonstrates again how perfectly suited the Tempranillo grape variety is to our Hill Country estate’s climate, weather and soil. The brilliant medium ruby-purple color and bright nose of cherry, smoke, dry earth, tomato and spice beckon you immediately. Upon tasting, your mouth is filled with bright red cherry fruit, medium plus acidity and firm tannins that add to a finish of pepper, dry earth and baking spice. This Tempranillo is an exceptional food pairing wine, and is made for grilled meats, savory sausages, hard cheeses and tomato sauce-based fare.
This Spaniard’s brilliant medium ruby color and lightly stained tears open up to a nose of bright red cherry and raspberry fruit, tomato and leather with notes of vanilla, mocha and savory herbs. The bright red fruit continues on the palate with the savory blend of tomato and peppery spice. Medium tannins and acidity provide a refined texture and a refreshing finish with lingering spice and pepper, making this young Tempranillo a great pairing wine with grilled meats, hard cheeses (such as Manchego), savory sausages and tomato sauces.
