The 2021 vintage of our popular Mourvedre Rose is sourced with fruit from Diamante Doble Vineyards in the High Plains AVA, aged in stainless steel and left on the skins for 12 hours during fermentation. It offers a brilliant cranberry / watermelon hue and a nose full of strawberry, watermelon and rosy, floral aromatics. The palate is bright and clean, confirming the strawberry and watermelon aromatics and adding a hint of lemon rind. Secondary fermentation has produced a wine that combines a mouthwatering, balanced acidity with a smooth, satisfying finish. This combination makes for great pairing with everything from shellfish to fattier seafood such as salmon and lobster, charcuterie featuring more acidic cheeses like goat and Feta, and cheese dishes including pizza and quiches.
