The Croton Plant is an all time favorite for color lovers! This green is anything by green, they turn shades of yellows, oranges and reds depending on the amount of sunlight they receive.

Deluxe and premium options will be used as an upgrade to the containers.

The croton plant, known for its vibrant, multicolored leaves, is a tropical shrub that thrives in warm, humid environments and requires bright light for optimal growth.

Characteristics of Croton

Care Requirements

  1. Light: Crotons thrive in bright, indirect sunlight. The more colorful the leaves, the more light they require. Insufficient light can cause the leaves to turn green and lose their vibrant colors. 
     
  2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. During the growing season (spring and summer), water about once a week, and reduce watering in the winter. Allow the top 2 inches of soil to dry out slightly between waterings. 
     
  3. Humidity: Crotons prefer higher humidity levels (40-80%). In drier climates, regular misting or placing the pot on a pebble tray with water can help maintain humidity. 
     
  4. Temperature: These plants thrive in temperatures above 60°F (15°C) and should be protected from cold drafts and extreme temperature fluctuations. 
     
  5. Soil: A well-draining, humus-rich potting mix with a slightly acidic pH (4.5 to 6.5) is ideal for crotons.
